The Full Cheek Snaffle applies pressure to the sides of the face thus guiding the horse and is also useful for preventing the bit being pulled through the mouth. The Waterford mouthpiece in this bit is made up of individual rounded links therefore giving a 'fluid' movement in the horse's mouth, thus helping to eliminate the opportunity for the horse to 'lean' on or take hold of the bit. The Waterford mouthpiece is relatively mild and comfortable for the horse provided it is used with 'soft' hands.
