Loose ring cheeks on this snaffle allow the mouthpiece to slide on the rings therefore assisting in preventing horses which tend to 'lean' or 'fix' against the bit. The Hollow mouthpiece on this bit makes it lighter in weight, creating a lighter softer feel for the horse which in turn makes the horse lighter and softer in the hand. Being hollow the mouthpiece warms quickly therefore encouraging bit acceptance and as the bit is relatively thick it is comfortable for horses with 'roomy' mouths to wear.
